Wild Rails

Does anyone remember Valleyfair? It's an amusement park here in Minnesota. Anyway, they used to have this rickety rollar coaster called "Wild Rails" (it is not called mad mouse or something really stupid) Anyhoo, Wild Rails was a unique coaster in that the cars were small and only seated 4 people. The ride itself was very jerky and would cause a lot of fast reactions like oh shit! and waht not. Well I used to go to valleyfair all of the time and one time me and my freind Kelvin Johnston went on the the Wild Rails ride, now I know not everyone knows Kelvin Johnston, but he was my best friend for a good 6 years of my life, basically grew up in the hard years of 12-16 with him and the late Aaron Christopherson. Anyway Kelvin is the funniest person in the world, 6'5" foul mouthed, loud, great storyteller, etc. So Kelvin and I are on this ride, not really aware who else with us cuz we were stoned and just wanted to enjoy it. So we are on this jerky ride and it was as jerkyas ever and had me and me and Kelvin both screaming FUCK! SHIT! OH WHAT THE FUCKING HHELL!! OH GOD DAMMIT! FUCKING TITS!!!!....and so on. well, as the ride ended, we turned around ann noticed there were 2 HORRIFIED looking 7-8 year old girls in the backseat of our car that obviously learned a few new words that day...

I know I know

I know I haven't updated this in forever. Whats there to say? I'm gonna WARN u, a lot of it is gonna be negative but then I will attempt to end it with positivity. Should we just get the negative stuff out of the way? I say yes. I will use bulet points or dashes, cuz FUCK the long version.
-Grandma Shirley is very sick. Luekemia is in its later stages. She is a very tough woman and is taking it so well its amazing. She wrote everyone a letter basically telling them she is dying. It was done in such a graceful way I totally had to go in the bathroom and cry becuase I will nver cry in front of my father.
- I got DUMPED, over the phone 2 weeks ago. That was not very fun.

Okay thats out of the way here is some good stuff.
-I'm moving this weekend, gonna have my own place gonna be sweet, probably will have girls over, well I mean i'll try too, but it is me here so we will see. I also have some goals for this year.
1.) Save/make enough money playing poker to buy a new car. I have put $2500 into it the last year and i bought it for $4500 so getting sick of that.
2.) Get in better shape.
3) good god go back to school? I dunno its only january fuck off already.

Wake me Up When November Ends

Hey guys! All month everyone's been buggin me "When's the new blog comin up man?" Well after weeks of procrastinating here it is. It might be really long, and it might not really all make sense but I will try to keep it organized. Lets get the poker part of the way and go from there.
HORRIBLE month for danezone and the poker. Down about $1800 or so, which really sucks (it happens, it happened before earlier this year.) I didn't play THAT bad, but certainly could have played better, especially later in the month when I was gettin really frustrated, sometimes downswings happen and it seems like no matter what you do, even when you have the better hand 90% of the time with your chips all in, you just don't get there. I've been wanting to play live more, but really just can't seem to find the time. Lately I am working nights on the weekends, so perhaps one of those nights I will head down to Canterbury and finally play.
I have been trying to have a social life, I'v hung out with some of my old friends the last few Thursdays and again this past weekend, problem is they always have like one girl in the group who is like "I'm just one of the guys haha!"...except you're not, you're an overdramatic girl just like the rest of them, don't try to fuck with me and tell me otherwise. I'm supposed to go on a party bus with these people on wednesday but honestly I am really starting to consider not going.
This is gonna be a rough month for me anyway, just really busy with work getting crazy this time of year, coaching basketball and the fact that for lack of a better word, my girlfriend is gone till atleast the 17th, its a good thing what she is doing, but that does not mean that I don't miss her.
Basketball has been going well, we are 3-1, got killed today and as far as in game coaching, haven't really gotten a chance to do too much of that. Here are scores from our first 4 games.

Yep scored 6 points today...Have never seen anything like it. We were missing 2 of our starters but still was really dissapointed in the way we played today, for a tough team, we played like a bunch of scared little wimps, maybe i psyched them out when I told them hey Centennial is good we better be ready, but we couldnt make a layup, couln't catch a ball really couldn't do anything. I really hate Monday games becasue it just seems we are always lackluster on those days. The nice thing is we have a game tomorow so we can put this one behind us in a hurry. By tomorow I mean today, it's 1 am and I work at 6am, but I slept till 1230 today and kinda ruined my sleep schedule, plus I know from experince that when i have a day off and then work the next day at 6, I'm not gonna get any sleep anyway so why kid myself? Random thoughts to leave you with.
-I'm actually getting decent at Madden
- My mom got a new cat, which is nice, but today my mom felt the need to say out loud EVERYthing the cat was doing "oh look penny found her toy, oh now she's got a pen, oh now she's going behind the chair...and so on."
-People have told me I should do a standup routine or write a cartoon about my family provided I do all the voices, I think it would be a ton of fun.

Closin the books...

The month of October pokerwise is pretty much done for me, I don't really see myself having time to play any more in the next few days. Was not a horrible month by any means, I mentioned the 5th place in the 8.80 for $839, a week later i took 2nd in a 4.40 that I normally would never play...that netted a nice $621, and on Monday night I played the $55 Nightly 70k which had a 13 k first prize. I played pretty well for the most part and was getting really excited as I made it to the last two tables. Any top 5 finish would've been my the highest score of my life, but sadly our hero took 13th for $546. Still, not a bad month at all, like I said no "big scores" (these days I consider 4 figures to be a big score) but a decent month where I was up about $12-1400 took some money out and am looking forward to November!
Also, had the basketball meeting today, our first game is Novemeber 10th already vs the hated Fridley Tigers. 15 girls showed up so that should be enough for 2 teams. Other random ass shit:
-got a massage today, felt great, recommend it highly.
-I'm wearing zubaz right now
-I don't hate my job by any means, but if i ever win a ton at poker, I will def work less days, it gets hard on the body.

If i were to name the blog today it would be "SO CLOSE!" Yesterday was my 3rd consecutive 6am shift and usually by the 3rd of those I am pretty worn out, not to mention everyone and their mother is sick right now so we are consistently short people. One would think that after work I would not rush home to play poker right? WRONG! Well in a way you are right, I rushed home to take care of um....well for lack of a better term, I really had to drop a major deuce, only to be thwarted by one lane traffic on hwy 100! DAMMIT! Don't worry, I made it, won the war in the bathroom and started playin the $8.80 buy in at Poker Stars that begins at 3 pm. I found myself playing pretty well but was hurtin on chips with about 80 people left. At this point I had already "cashed" which means that I would be gettin some money back on my 8.80, about $32 to be exact, but thats nothing after 4-5 hours of playing! Down to 35k in chips with blinds at 2/5k/5k I was dealt J9 in the big blind. Obviously, not a great hand but one guy kept raising and I told myself that it was heads up I would go with it and hope to have 2 live cards. As Scott Fischman says "you have to create your own luck" I did exactly that and a 9 fell on the river giving me the win! Of course idiot opponent was mad and didn't have the poker sense to realize that my play was indeed logical while his preflop raise to 4 small stacks with K10 off suit maybe wasn't. Long story short, in the next 2 hands i had knocked him out of the tournament and became the chipleader!
I won't bore the non poker players with too many more details, I did make the final table ready to win the first place prize of just under $3000! Sadly, it didn't quite work out and I fell in 5th place for $840, still not a bad afternoon! In the last 10 days I have finished 11th, 9th, and 5th in major tournaments so it is really only a matter of time! Bankroll is just under 5k and again I feel like I'm due for a big win, and am playing pretty well.
However, may not be playing a lot in the next few months which is cool cuz basketball season is starting up in a matter of weeks. First practice will be on Nov. 2nd! I am coaching 8th grade girls first, and then boys, I don't have a schedule yet but I expect it will be similar to last year (meaning we will play some big schools and a .500 record would be an accomplishment) We went 5-7 last year, probably 6th of the 10 teams or so we play, I really wish we could find a way to do a league playoff at the end of the year, it'd be really fun to gear up for a postseason!

2nd post of best blog ever

Wow, we had some crazy days at work didn't we? Car crashes, late trucks all that fun stuff. Makes for some excitement! Saturday I worked till 2 and really wanted to play in a $65 buy in at Aces at 630 but i didn't sleep the night before and ended up napping until 7. Played online last night and today probly lost about $200 overall. BOO! I qualfied for the Sunday Million through a satelitte and just didn't play it the same way I would play a normal tournament which is sad. Might play again on Wednesday or so we'll see, I think some things are actually gonna come to fruiton this week that might in the long run make my life a little more simple. Probably for the best, basketball starts like before I know it and I think it's time for a new season in 2008 college football!! Gonna create a team!

1st post of best blog ever

Whats up people? Today was the 3rd day in a row of gettin less than 3 hours of sleep and waking up at 6 am or earlier. (Monday to drop off boo boo at the airport and Tues and wed for work) Today I mixed it up a little bit in my morning routine, opting for the shower at 5:04 am and combing my hair right after. Pretty crazy right? At work i was just DEAD. The first 3 hours I was running on empty and was having a tough time, esp when Triestohard was like "dude that stack is so dangerous" I'm like do you see it falling? Thankfully, I bounced back strong after lunch (and perhaps more thankfully, I only had to work until 11:30. Now, I am home, relaxed and will be playin some online poker (Which i do a lot, and what most these blogs will be about) all day with Masebroke, we better bink one off.
